Il Fiorista in New York City

Equipment and tabletop specified by Singer Equipment Company

Specifying team: Robert Weir, Joe Revitte, Sarah Bulmer

Tucked away near the gothic corner of 26th and Broadway, there’s a garden in full bloom. Step into Il Fiorista and you’ll be welcomed by an entryway table bursting with bouquets of floral arrangements.

Executive Chef Garrison Price sourced culinary tools that would speak to a curated, homemade space that still very much hosts itself as a restaurant. His equipment selections were no exception.

In the center of Chef Price’s kitchen is a (always) shiny Southbend range, sandwiched between a Rational combi-oven and Desco pasta cooker. Don’t skip the bread course; it’s churned out daily in a Globe standing mixer and baked in house.

The tableware compliments his menu, inspired by a modern greenhouse.

Complementing Figgjo’s high gloss, culinary grade porcelain is the sleek, satin-matte finish of Felt+Fat. The small batch, made-in-Philadelphia perfectionist in porcelain looks on the horizon for even more greatness at the dawn of a new decade with new production methods.
