John Vozzo to Retire from Singer Equipment Company
After leading the enterprise’s growth and success for decades, EVP/COO departs 12.31.20.
Elverson, PA: Singer Equipment Company announces the planned retirement of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, John Vozzo. Over his four-decade tenure at Singer, Vozzo has shepherded the company through successive periods of growth and expansion, building what is now one of the largest US distributors of foodservice equipment and supplies.
John directly led Singer’s purchasing, sales, marketing, and warehouse operations and helped shape all elements of the business as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Singer President and CEO Fred Singer said, “John’s vision and character are imprinted into the DNA of Singer. He built our culture of service, excellence and partnership – with customers, vendors and coworkers alike. This way of thinking is built into our company.”
John has also served in key roles on numerous boards and committees of professional industry organizations during his tenure at Singer. Some of these have included tenures as President of Allied Buying Corporation (ABC), as Chairman of Strategic Market Alliance (SMA), and on the board of Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA).
Following John’s retirement, the following individuals will lead these key departments at Singer: Michael Greenwald, Vice President of Purchasing; Eric Santagato, Vice President of Distribution Sales; Morgan Tucker, Vice President of Marketing; and Rich Zang, Vice President of Operations.
Fred Singer continued, “All of us owe John a debt of gratitude for his work in building our company and developing our next generation of leaders.
