I am pleased to share with you the exciting news that Singer Equipment has acquired the business of Ashland Equipment. Ashland Equipment is the largest contract equipment dealership in the greater Baltimore - DC market, and they have a longstanding reputation for quality and service. Rod White, the founder and
President of Ashland, will continue to run the division for the company, reporting to me.
This acquisition gives our company increased resources and local presence in the growing Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia markets. Ashland has approximately 40 employees in the region, including many installers and project managers. It allows us to be even more responsive to our customer’s needs in this market.
Ashland also has a growing interior design division, and I look forward to introducing you to their services. Their licensed interior designers provide conceptual planning, 3D modeling and visualization, full specification of furnishings and fixtures, and complete construction documentation. Singer has provided kitchen design services for many years, and I am delighted to enhance our design capabilities. Look for more information on our interior design offering soon – we are ready to help you if you have any active needs.
Ashland also has strong refrigeration installation capabilities, and we plan to expand the refrigeration installation services to our customers in adjacent geographies. Our new ability to handle complex refrigeration projects with an in-house team will make us more cost effective and give us better control of our projects.
