To our valued customers:

For more than 100 years, Singer has serviced the commercial foodservice industry.  As a supply partner to your business, our primary concern in these unprecedented times is the safety and wellbeing of our customers and associates.  Our thoughts go out to everyone in our community who has been so affected by the COVID-19 virus.  In times of crisis, it is critical that we support your operations and help you respond to the ongoing challenges of the day.  I want to let you know of the efforts we are making to ensure the supply of goods, and to protect the health and safety of your employees and customers.

 

First and foremost, we will cut no corners and take every effort to protect the health of your employees.  All delivery personnel are checked each day before they head out and certify that they do not have any signs of sickness (fever, cough, difficulty breathing).  They also certify that they have not knowingly been in contact with any individual who is under suspicion of COVID-19 infection.  All employees are under strict guidance that if they do not feel well, they are to go directly home and isolate themselves until they are 24 hours free of symptoms.  Our full-time employees have health insurance and paid time off so that they can recuperate without fear of missed pay.  Our drivers carry disposable gloves and wear a fresh pair for each delivery, and use anti-bacterial wipes on their equipment in between each stop.
 

We have also implemented a work-from-home policy for the majority of our office employees.  Our technology allows us to answer phones, video chat, and access all computer files from home offices.  By limiting those employees who come to the office, we lower the chances of infection for the rest of our team.  We have eliminated most air travel to keep our team healthy.  No one is allowed in any of our facilities, employee or visitor, if they have any cold symptoms.
 

Our business has robust systems.  We have multiple warehouses, deep inventory, and a strong delivery network.  Our team members live in multiple markets.  Our procurement team is working round the clock to source the products our customers need and address the changing levels of demand.  We are strong and flexible and resourceful.  
 

We have provided continuous service to our customers through wars and depressions, good times and bad.  We are family owned and well capitalized.  We will, in all our plans and actions, prioritize your need for safe and reliable service.  You can count on it.
